Member of the Luxembourg Bar. Stéphane heads OPF Partners’ Banking & Finance practice. He has been with the firm since its inception back in 1999 and became partner in 2004. With over 15 years of professional experience, Stéphane advises a domestic and international clientele of companies and financial institutions. He provides legal advice and support across a range of matters with respect to Luxembourg finance, leveraged finance, securitisations, financial sector regulatory matters, and aircraft finance also. Working closely alongside other teams within the firm including the Restructuring & Insolvency practice, Stéphane has been assisting clients in relation to specialist areas including debt and equity financing, enforcement of security interests, financing arrangements for groups facing financial difficulties including negotiations with lenders. Over recent years, he has been assisting major groups facing financial pressures on both their financing and restructuring activities. Both Stéphane and his department have been recommended in key legal publications such as Chambers Europe and Legal500. He is a speaker at a number of domestic and international events including the annual Lawyer Restructuring conference in Brussels. Together with his co-partners from the Restructuring and Insolvency and Corporate practices, he has also been providing presentations to a number of international law firms focusing again on the topics of restructuring and insolvency under Luxembourg law, an area of much interest to the international legal communities. He is a regular speaker on the topic of COMI Shift and alongside Counsel, Christel Dumont, he contributed in 2011 a detailed article on the area to INSOL Europe’s insolvency publication, ‘Eurofenix’. Stéphane is based in the Luxembourg office of OPF Partners. He speaks a number of languages including English, French, Italian and Spanish. A French national, he graduated from the University of Nancy II (France) and has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 1994. |
